NASF, was getting concerned that too many people were beginning to see their SUR/FIN Trade Show and Conference as a completely separate entity and wanted to tie the brands more closely together. To help reclaim the event as their own, it was branded as a part of their broader "Surface Technology Initiative." Whereas previous shows had more literal themes to interpret, focusing on "initiative" in 2017 meant visualizing something more abstract.

NASF's stockpile of previous event photos provided solutions to both problems. By depicting prominent NASF members speaking and interacting at the show, I could help tie the event back to NASF and show how SUR/FIN already was a part of their broader Initiative. To help drive the point home, I utilized bold shapes and color fields in NASF's color scheme.
